Home is where the heart is!

This is an amazing aerial view of Yanac, my town! The home of Gobbler's Run! As you can see there isn't much here! We have a Church, a Hall and a Hockey field. Yanac is a lot greener now than when this photo must have been taken.

Hi Kelly,
I have stumbled into your blog via a long path. For sometime I have had google earth installed but not gone exploring in Aussie, and this morning I decided I would further search my roots.
These roots actually go back to the original Yanac, then known by the aboriginal name Yanac-a-Yanac. It then covered some 25,000 acres.
So I zoomed through area to Nhill then north/west and found a dot called Yanac. When I clicked on the dot I was given the opportunity of clicking google images, the image of Yanac you use was the first one that came up. When I clicked on that to see the larger image your blog came up, and here I am.
I think you have done a good job with your blog, interesting.
If you would like any history of the area in the 1850's let me know.
