An update

Just a quick casualty update. 1 chook dead, 3 chooks and 2 turkeys in intensive care, wounds bathed daily, kept quite away from the others with lots of fresh water and food. I'm hoping they all pull through but 1 chook is struggling and if she isn't improving by tomorrow may need to euthanize. So sad.

Yes Lucy I caught them in the act...luckily! I was able to stop them before even more damage was done. The neighbours dogs (Foxy and Kelpie) 3rd time that they have done it Grrr! I rang the council ranger and he has come out ( I don't know what the response was cause I'm a bit nervous to speak to them) I had just gone up and let them out to have a free range then went inside for a coffe and came out and it was all on! So quick!

Glad to hear some made it through. I hope the survivors get well soon.

It irritates me when owners fail to keep their dogs contained. They can do so much damage, especially when there's more than one.

I'd be sure to mention to the ranger while it was only a chook in your case, what if it's someone else's child tomorrow? It's really only a matter of time until more damage is done to someone else.

Hope your little ones recover quickly.
