I'm back

I've just got back from a long weekend away. Every year Jamie takes a tractor to the Echuca Steam, Horse and Vintage Rally and we always have a wonderful time.

They have heaps to look at and lots of cool stalls where you can get all most anything. This year I bought a beautiful pair of chocolate brown hand-spun and knitted socks, they are so toasty warm! I also get a few back copies of an English magazine that I love called Practical Poultry, it's expensive but worth it. Oh and I also picked up 4 french lavender cuttings cause I have always killed any lavender I have planted here so if this lot doesn't make it I give up!

I've never added a video on my blog and it seems I can't get it to work. It's just a short video of some working horses I shot in Echuca ( I shot the video, not the horses). I will try and load it later.
One thing I love every year is Farmer Darryl's Animal Farm. I think he has the best job in the world! Imagine spending your weekends with your animals and see the excitement in kids eyes as they interact with the animals....priceless.

Another thing we do each year is go to a market on Monday before we leave. This year there was a man selling heritage variety fruit trees and berries. I was so excited I bought a red current, a black current and a thorn-less blackberry. I would have spent more on trees but by Monday the funds were dwindling lol. Anyway it was an amazing weekend and now I have 2 weeks of holidays to enjoy!

That sounds like so much fun.

I think running a petting zoo would probably make you smile every day.. you would very slowly have to socialise the right animals though I don't know too many straight off the farm that would cope with being chased around by 3 yr olds.

Kind Regards
Belinda
