More Soap!

Well Here are the bar soaps! The round tags have the fragrance written on the back. Thinking of getting a Gobbler's Run stamp made! Thanks for all the feedback on the last post, I really appreciate it. So what do you think of this? You can feel and smell the soap this way.

The colouring I got looks really pale when I added it at trace but when it hardened up it got a whole lot darker LOL. I made some pink ones too but Im to embarrased to show you those ones as I didn't mix it very well and it has deep purple spots all through it...looks very scary LOL.

we wentto some markets yesterday and there were a few stall selling handmade soaps, all wrapped in cellophane and no samples to smell either so of course I didn't buy any :(

I think they look great, as do the others that you've packaged up.

Don't be afraid to share your disasters - I think it encourages others to give it a go (and that everyone has things that don't turn out quite how they were hoping). :-)

Oh I think these are lovely and a "Gobblers Run" stamp would be fantastic.

I made a late comment on your previous post that you may not notice, in which I said that I think you need to have a list of all your ingredients. It's important to a lot of people to know what oils and fats are used and whether the fragrances are essential oils or synthetic fragrances.

You don't mess around when you decide to do something do you Kirsty? Well done. :-)

OK list of ingrediants it is! I've just been down the shops and got sheets of adhevisive labels for the printer (I just have to work out how to use them!) So i can print out the list of stuff and stick them discretely on the back of the "pretty" stuff. Thank you all so much I really appriciate it

Kirsty I once belonged to a soap making mailing list and there was often discussion about selling your soap. Take a look at this site
http://www.soapnaturally.org/
If you have any questions they should have the answers.

Well done, Kirsty - they look great and I can almost smell them from here! I'm rather fussy and I would buy them for you've packaged them very attractively (imo). I agree about the ingredients list, and having a stamp would be a terrific "finishing touch".

Those are *beautiful*!!!

If you find they get dented and bruised, or dirty from handling, you might try wrapping them in patterned fabrics like you'd use to make an old fashioned quilt. Keep one out for samples and put the rest in fabric.

I prefer the way you have done it, though.

I think a stamp would be grand!

Oh, about the uneven coloring - I wouldn't worry about that. That just makes them more interesting.
